Use metallic yarn as a controlled accent
A lower metallic ratio can create visible sparkle while keeping the sock softer. Full-coverage metallic structures may feel firmer and should be sampled against the intended customer expectation.
Choose a comfortable base blend
The base yarn controls much of the softness, stretch and moisture behavior. Review whether metallic yarn sits directly against the skin or is carried mainly on the outer surface.
- Cotton or viscose blend base
- Metallic percentage
- Elastic recovery
- Toe seam and cuff comfort
Test appearance after stretch and wash
Confirm sparkle distribution while worn, check for loose floats and review wash performance. Packaging should protect the surface from snagging during transport.
